My Favorite Blushes Right Now

This is kind of a more abstract and real time blogpost than my usual posts but i thought "Im supposed to be telling people what I like so why not tell them which my go-to-blushes are and then they can go try them out as well and get obsessed with those blushes. Then we can all share our obsession with blushes and have a happy blushing time :p ". Yes, i ramble on and on about random things like this in my head. New readers may not know this but I am very pale, hence blushes are like my best friends that add color to my face. Now about the blushes i have been obsessing over for about a month now:
Spring Flower and Posietint
  1. Posietint by Benefit :(Haul post) Described as a "poppy-pink" shade, I do like it much more than Benetint (which is more rose-tinted). It's the perfect shade to wear everyday and looks especially great on days when you don't feel like using any foundation because it blends right into your skin. Posietint adds a subtle glowy element to the whole look. However, when I tried using it over foundation, it led a patchy, streaky look. It's a staple for days when i don't have the time to put on much makeup (like foundation, concealer, bronzer,etc.). he only bad side to this product is that it leaves a stubborn stain on the fingers that you may use to blend it in :( . Now I couldn't click a picture of myself with Posietint on because its so light and natural that it just wouldn't show up in pictures!
  2. Spring Flower by Rimmel London : This is a simple and straight forward pink.  No coral tones, No orange tones and No Plum tones - none of that fuss in this one. It does have a bit of shimmer but the shimmer is so subtle that you can use it as a daily blush and nobody will notice it. It's too pink to use as a Fall shade which makes me use it even more while i still can! Go get it and try it before its time to use those plum shades!

Fashion Union Wish List

This is a very special post you see. For those of you who regularly read my blog posts ( or even those that may have glanced at the archive) or follow me on Twitter, you may know that I have been doing a series called the "Wish List" series where i list a bunch of things that I wish i had and that I would get given the first opportunity. Fortunately, I've got something even more exciting for this Wishlist post! Fashion Union ( through the etailPR network) has give me that opportunity to write a wish list of all the products I like from their website : http://bit.ly/1gttgV7 . Honestly, once I got on their website I couldn't stop staring at all the amazing clothes and accessories they have on sale! Their collection is wonderful and has such a broad spectrum that you'll always find what you're looking for. Now since they have such a wide range of products i decided to categorize them.

First off we have dresses. Dresses are always the first thing i look at on any new shopping site.
  1. The Blue Cut Out Skater Dress : This one is my favorite! At £10.00 (reduced from £28.00 ) its a steal. The dress could be easily dressed up or dressed down and is the perfect blend of elegant and yet cute. You can find it here

  2.  Wine Scallop Hem Strappy Ponte Bodycon Dress : Scalloped hemlines are beautiful. I think they look edgy and yet sophisticated and I'm constantly on the search for anything with a Scalloped Hem. This dress is a lovely red and would be great for a night out with friends or simply dinner(when paired with stilettos and a clutch) at a posh restaurant with friends and family. It's listed at £25.00 which is kind of pricey but a dress like this could potentially cost a lot more. You can find it here
  3. Cream Leopard Bodycon Dress : This dress seems tricky to style (as with all animal prints). Style it the wrong way and you've got yourself a trashy mess. Style it the right way and you may find paparazzi mistaking you for a celebrity.. I would pair it with a white blazer and some rings but no other accessories. With this dress, I believe, less is more. It's listed at £22.00 and you can find it here
  4. Multi Skater Party Dress : Imagine yourself wearing this dress at a fashion week event and I bet that's motivation enough for making you covet it. There are a few more options in sequined dresses on the site too but this one was my personal favorite among them. It's neutral and girly and could be worn for any high fashion events. Listed at £45.00 it isn't too expensive a price for a head-turning piece like this but it's certainly pricier than most of Fashion Union's selection. You can find it here
Jumpers : Yes there's a category called jumpers. Ever since it's started getting cold I've just been in the mood for jumpers and unfortunately I realized I don't have any. This may sound surprising coming from a shopaholic like me but for someone who had been staying in a place with summer heat all year round (until recently when I came to a place where it's so cold I think I'm going to freeze!) , I never felt like I needed them.
  1. Stone Owl Print Jumper : The print on this jumper is so adorable and makes it unique. You're sure to stand out from the rest of the jumper-crowd while sporting this piece of awesomeness! You can find it here

 2. Black Sequin Shoulder Knitted Jumper : It looks comfy, soft and edgy all at the same time. would be perfect for days when its too cold to wear your favorite shirt and yet you want to look like you've put some effort into dressing up. You can find it here

Shoes!! Do i even need to explain? Every girl that loves beauty and fashion loves shoes.

  1. Black Quilted High Top Platform : These are great for everyday use if your day involves walking a lot or if you're a college student. These are actually the perfect alternative for sneakers for a college student that needs to walk around a lot.You can find them here
  2. White Studded Ankle Strap Sandal : Its pretty and its white so it can be paired with almost everything. Versatile and stylish. You can find them here

So that's it for my Fashion Union wish list. It's a lot right? Maybe some day....it never hurts to imagine. So did you guys like any of these? good thing they have free delivery throughout september right? :p

Let me know whether you guys like any of the things I listed above in the comments! They also have a contest so if you're an etailpr approved blogger and would like to enter click here .

Sweet Princess Limited Edition Mascara Review

I know what you're about to say, "Another mascara!? You're obsessed". While that is true, there's a reason to why this mascara needs its own review post.I never like to use mascara on my bottom lashes and so I never do. Now when I used this mascara I didn't feel impressed by it. It certainly wasn't as good as any Maybelline ones. But then I saw that it had such a cute and tiny wand and felt like using it on my bottom lashes and loved how it looked! For the first time in my life I actually liked how a mascara looked on my bottom lashes!

   Without Any Mascara
With Sweet Princess Limited Edition Mascara On Top And Bottom Lashes
The tube itself is smaller than most mascaras and quite cute but definitely not as pretty as the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara.

If you are in Thailand or if you can get your hands on this tube I say you should get it but only if you like mascara on the bottom lashes. I never liked it but now I use this mascara only for the bottom lashes when I need to look more awake for calculus (which can put anyone to sleep) .

Overall rating : I somehow can't decide whether I really love this product overall or not. I love one aspect of it but I don't like the other.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara Review

I was just watching a random haul video when i saw this tube of mascara in the youtuber's hand. The thin little tube looks so beautiful and magical that i don't think i paid attention to the rest of the video until she came to the tube of mascara and said which one it was and in my head I was jumping with excitement and shouting " Im going to get that mascara!!! Now Now Now!!" . So tis excitement lasted for a bit until i realized that it wasn't released or sold in India :( ….However, i was determined to find it and so i did and here's a review for you guys.

" Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious. The formula with strengthening proteins, amino acids and essential vitamins revitalizes lashes. The Illusionist Wand drenches lashes for dramatic volume and combs through lashes for clump-free length."

I got the mascara in 001 blackest black noir intense. Magic and enchantment seems to be a theme with this mascara. I seriously could not stop staring at the tube since the time I have bought it. I still look at it at least once everyday and it just makes me feel like a kid that believes in magic and fairytales.

Color : It truly is the "blackest" black i have seen so far! Sometimes there are some mascaras like an old Loreal one i had that looked grayish despite the label saying that its black. This one isn't one of those.

Now i haven't noticed any "revitalized" lashes since i started using it but it does work pretty well in other aspects. it instantly makes your lashes look fuller and longer but without them looking weird and pokey. I usually find that mascaras with a silicon brush (you know the one that feels all rubbery and like plastic? ) cause the lashes to clump together. Fortunately this Illusionist Wand that Lash potion claims to have isn't like those rubbery wands. It separates while adding volume.
                                                               Without any mascara
                                                        With Revlon Lash Potion Mascara

Packaging: The packaging is so adorable that i didn't even care whether the formulation was good or not. It's shiny and colorful unlike any other mascara I've ever seen before.

Overall Rating : 4/5 for the performance but 5/5 for the beautiful packaging!

The Candles Wishlist

"Smell is a potent wizard that transports you across thousands of miles and all the years that you have lived. " - Helen Keller.
I'm usually not the kind of person that lives by any particular quote or feels instantly inspired by one. However, when I read this quote I couldn't help but think about how much sense it made. So here's another post of the Wishlist series and this one may just help you along on your journey through smells and fragrances.

1. Capri Blue Candle-In-A-Jar in Volcano: tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons, and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens. Fresh and citrusy! Now that's a candle out of my dreams.
2. Jo Malone Grapefruit Candle : Instantly awakening the senses, Grapefruit is a lively, uplifting citrus with a spicy heart. Grapefruit and tangerine are combined with vetiver and rosemary to create this outspoken citrus scent. The Grapefruit Home Candle infuses any room with evocative scent and lasts for hours. An everyday luxury, it brings warmth to any environment. Candle burn time is 45 hours. Jo Malone is so well known for fragrances that I didn't think twice before adding this to the Wishlist.
3. Nest Moroccan Amber candle :Moroccan amber, sweet patchouli, heliotrope and bergamot are accented with a hint of eucalyptus. It's not just a good scent but it also looks pretty and adds a touch of elegance to your interior.
4. Bath & Body Works candle in Leaves : Celebrate the brilliant colors of autumn with this rich blend of golden nectar, red apple and spiced berries. I don't think any other Bath & Body Works candle can even compare to this one! I first heard of it from the videos by Missglamorazzi (Ingrid) and I know I always love everything she recommends in her videos.
5. Jo Malone Orange Blossom Candle : Are there days when you just want to feel like a princess? Days when you wish your life was a fairy tale like Kate Middleton's ? Jo Malone's Orange Blossom candle was one of the candles used to perfume Westminster Abbey for Kate Middleton's royal wedding! This is one candle I can't wait to smell!
6. Carrière Frères Industrie Candles : I don't know where I can find these but if you know, tell me in the comments below.Carrière Frères Industrie candles are known for their clean burn, which allows their huge range of botanical scents to shine through. Since I do prefer floral scents to their warmer counterparts, Carrière Frères Industrie candles sound wonderful!

7. DL & Co Candles : now these aren't the kind that have caused a buzz around the blogosphere or Youtuberland because they are pretty difficult to find. In fact I've never really seen them apart from the pictures! But they're so elegantly packed that one might not even care about how they smell. The candles are poured into a glass bowl and then packaged in a linen-covered box topped with an elegant ribbon bow. I really want to smell their best selling scent called Angels Trumpet which apparently combines the scent of tuberose and mushrooms! Sounds weird right? But it's so unique that you can't not be curious
8. Voluspa Japonica Candle from Anthropology : at $18 it's not very expensive and definitely cheaper than most of the candles on this list but the reviews of these candles are all excellent! I couldn't find any bad reviews at all! Can you believe that? It's a small tin but has a surprisingly long burn time of about 80 hours.

So does this article make you curious about any of the candles listed above? Or have you already used one of them? Tell me what you think in the comments below!
